The current batch is handled in a mixture of Walnut and Hickory. The result of years of experience in wood carving and toolmaking, this spoon knife is just the tool for carving the hollow part of wooden spoons. This knife has a shallow or “open” sweep, which makes it well suited for carving larger or shallower spoons. The blade is plasma cut from O-1 tool steel, forged into a hollow, bent into a curve, hardened, tempered, ground, handled and sharpened. The double tapered, octagonal handle is made from hardwood 6 3/4” long. Included with each knife is a wet-molded leather blade cover.
