Cedar Pattern Camp Axe
Inspired by the “Warren Special Camp Axe” listed in the 1937 Warren Axe and Tool catalog, this is my latest iteration of what may become a standard camp axe for our regular tool lineup. The heads are forged from 4150, medium Carbon, low alloy steel, and the octagonal handles are hand crafted of American hickory. The medium sized axe sports a nominal 4-1/2” cutting edge and a 19” handle. Overall weight is 2-3/4 pounds. The large size has a 5-1/4” blade and a 25” handle. Overall weight is 3-1/2 pounds. PLEASE NOTE: This batch does not come with blade covers.
